Sector Accreditation
System Certification Services (SCS) are a UKAS Accredited specialist Management Systems certification body (eg. ISO9001:2015) providing services in the Waste sector under our schedule of accreditation including EA24 Recycling (38.3) and EA39 Waste Management (37, 38.1, 38.2 ,39).
What is certification?
Are external stakeholders, such as regulators or insurers, looking assurance that risks are controlled and that you are complying with your working plan and license or permit requirements?
One way of providing this assurance is through the benefits delivered by independent external assessment against international standards by a certification body.

Where are the benefits?
Accredited certification provides internal reassurance that operations are being performed as planned, as well as external confidence that your organisation can perform consistently.
Standards can deliver economic benefits of up to 10% of sales revenue, whilst there are many other qualitative benefits to be gained including but not limited to, culture, welfare, reputation and trust.

What is the process?
Interested organisations provide information on their organisation and SCS provide a proposal for agreement. If new to certification an initial audit is conducted in 2 stages using the relevant standard(s) as the audit criteria. If you have existing certification the transfer is a free simple process where SCS continue the current audit cycle. SCS provide this service 20% - 30% less expensive than our larger corporate competitors.

" We transferred to SCS recently and they kept us informed throughout the painless process, and throughout the audit activities. The auditor provided an objective assessment of conformance against the ISO standards and identified opportunities for improvement that were both warranted and helpful in contributing to our ongoing organisational development."
